Succulent Time

Night oozing motions, like a prickly pair

Sap is tasty, touching brings despair,

Spikes guarding center, rewards are not clear,

Center quite distant, come lets grab a beer

Succulent booze, succulent wine,

This is how we spend the night,

Time is ticking, breezing our sight,

Hammock swinging in the bright.

Overhead Cacti

Sight of ruins, quite the fright,

Bright the dream, delight it could be,

Walk up the stairs, fear surrounds me,

What if they finished, hopes under the sea.

Hotel Ruins, Praia da Luz, Portugal

Drifting on ocean , bouncing merrily, bumblebees,

Splashed by tidal waves, mans gripping on his seat,

Meandering through caves, laughs echoing in might

rocks shaped by time, artist nowhere in sight.

Bring your mind at ease, clear reflection, with me,

Don’t try too hard you’ll squeeze, relieve tension, without greed,

Look around don’t freeze, comprehension, don’t mislead

I want you to believe, success, plant your seed.

Steak tartare to start, raw just like the ruins,

If it’s not finished, half full some would see,

Don’t let a broken project, break you,

Push back tomorrow, just like the sea.

Thanks for reading, had some fun with the camera this holiday. My aim was to take pictures of cacti, so I have left some extra content below.
